What you need to Apply

Your application should be creative and personal — we encourage individuality. It should include:

Introduce yourself briefly: your name, age, where you’re from, and what you currently do – whether you’re studying, working, or taking a gap year. This helps the jury get a sense of your background and context.

Explain your personal connection to this program. What excites you about World Heritage Cities? Why do you want to explore them? This is your chance to show your curiosity, creativity, or interest in storytelling, history, or culture

  • What does World Heritage mean to you?
  • Which heritage should be passed on to future generations?
  • What’s the “World Heritage of tomorrow”?
  • A creative idea for your output (e.g. sketching, video, photos, zine — your choice)
  • A proposed travel route containing at least 3 OWHC member cities from Europe and North America (find an overview of all OWHC cities here and select from the active ones)
